Dog bowls are one of those things that we all take for
granted and either do not notice them getting tired and battered or we do and are
too embarrassed to have them on show needing to hide them away from view!
The new selection of dog bowls have come on a long way since
the first thin metal bowls which wear stains and trademark dents just as easily
as they tip over and clatter around the floor. But modern day dog bowls can add
a real touch of class or fun to your kitchen and are smart enough to leave on show.
They come in an infinite variety of designs and styles to suit all dogs and
situations.
Ceramic dog bowls are a traditional favourite and Mason Cash
have been producing their cane pet range for over 70 years and have little
changed. They still have the classic clean look but now have the high gloss
glaze making them easy to keep hygienically clean, a thickened rim to reduce
chipping and chewing and are produced in heavy stoneware. Within this range the
Mason Cash Spaniel Bowl is worthy of a special mention as a real design classic
and is perfect for any owners of Spaniels, the shape of this bowl means that the
ears do not get wet or dirty during feeding and drinking. This classic range
has been accompanied by a range of colourful designs in stoneware and porcelain
in fabulous colours to suit all situations and a selection of sizes to suit
different breeds. The premium quality of these dog bowls still shows but they
just have a modern twist. Ceramic dog bowls have benefits such as keeping water
and wet foods fresher for longer, being anti tip and anti chew as well as being
hygienic and durable.
Those old tinny metal bowls have made way for a wide
selection of premium Stainless Steel dog bowls made from a heavy grade of stay
bright metal and offering rubber feet fused to the bases. These new features
mean that they are much less likely to dent, stain and slide around the floor
clattering as they go! The range of designs has grown too, producing some
fantastic new products. Particularly useful are the Anti Gulp dog bowls which help
to slow your dogs feeding down reducing indigestion and illness following
rushed eating, twin bowls giving a quality edge to this classic design and the
Slant Bowls which guide food or water to one edge of these square bowls making
feeding easier for dogs that find it difficult to feed (older dogs and puppies).
Even plastic dog bowls now have moved on. These new products
are a leap ahead of the early bowls offering a high gloss stain resistant finish
which is very easy to keep clean, fused rubber feet to reduce slipping and anti
tip designs. These light weight dog bowls come in a kaleidoscope of different
colours and for a great value light weight bowl they cannot be beaten still.
Other specialist bowls are available for specific purposes carefully
designed for these different uses. Ancol produce a great canvas folding dogbowl which is great when you are travelling and need a light weight bowl which
takes up no room at all – perfect for food or water. There are non spill bowls
for providing water on car journeys, bolt on bowls for dog crates even height
adjustable dog bowls for larger dogs that find it difficult to feed from the
floor.
